How can I study for the regents exam?

Everything that we do all year long will be in preperation for the regents exam on Wednesday June 17th at 12:00. But if you would like some additional materials to help you study, I highly recommend using the following resources:

Take a practice exam. New York state posts all of the old regents exams online. Take one for practice! On the real exam you will be given 3 hours, a graphing calculator, a pencil, and a ruler. Sit down somewhere quiet and pretend like you are taking the real thing. The answers are online too! So you can check your work when you are done or I am always more than happy to help you grade it!

Order a review book. Many different companies have created review books specifically for the regents exams. When you are purchasing a book please make sure it is for the new Common Core Algebra 1 exam and not the old Integrated Algebra exam (anything that has been published in 2014 or later should be appropriate). If you would like help choosing a book, I'm here to help!

Use the internet. The Internet is a valuable resource and has tons of great websites to help you study! Here are some popular websites that I have found to be useful in the past. Please let me know if you find any more good ones or if you decide to create your own!

jmap.org This website organizes test questions by topics. It was originally created for the old Integrated Algebra exam, but we study many of the same topics so it is still a useful resources.

engageny.org This website was created more as a teacher resources, but it has some great sample regents questions with answers for students to use.

regentsprep.org This website is a wonderful resource filled with practice questions and lessons. Beware, it was also created for the old Integrated Algebra exam so it may be missing some of the topics that we will study this year.
